This year's National Theme: Be a Hero - Stay Drug Free
Beaufort County citizens are invited to join Nexus Care of Beaufort County in celebrating Red Ribbon Spirit Week 2026, a national drug‑prevention campaign dedicated to promoting healthy, drug‑free communities. This year’s theme, “Be a Hero – Stay Drug Free,” encourages community members to unite, have fun, and show their commitment to fostering a safe and healthy future for all.
Throughout the week of October 26–30, individuals, families, schools, businesses and more can participate in themed spirit days designed to spark conversations, strengthen connections, and highlight the importance of positive choices.
Spirit Week Schedule
- Monday – Motivation Monday (October 26)
Every hero has a hero! Dress as someone who inspires you or wear a motivational tee. - Tuesday – Team Up Tuesday (October 27)
It takes a village—together we make a difference. Wear your favorite team apparel to show unity. - Wednesday – Wingman Wednesday (October 28)
Strong connections make strong communities. Coordinate with a colleague or friend for Twin Day! - Thursday – Throwback Thursday (October 29)
Healthy choices never go out of style! Celebrate your favorite decade with retro attire. - Friday – Fire’d Up for the Future (October 30)
Wear RED to show your support for Red Ribbon Week—or dress in your Halloween costume!
Community members are encouraged to share their Spirit Week photos using the hashtag #NexusCaresBFT to help spread awareness and celebrate the county’s collective commitment to prevention and wellness.
Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s largest drug‑prevention campaign, and participation plays an important role in modeling positive choices and reinforcing community‑wide support. By embracing this year’s “Be a Hero – Stay Drug Free” theme, Beaufort County continues to promote thriving communities and brighter futures.
